• Treasurers Report presented by Jim Thomas. Resolution to accept the Treasurers Report passed
• 2008 Budget presented by Jim Thomas. Resolution passed to accept the 2008 budget
• Charlie Moores made presentation regarding Ship’s Store activities.
• Resolution passed to contribute $500.00 to Tin Can Sailors Museum Ship Fund with no special ship designation.
• Officers elected by acclamation including President John Dzubak, Vice President Jerry Chapman, and Secretary/Treasurer Jim Thomas
• Resignation of Chaplain Bill Barker announced. Officers will search for a new Chaplain during the upcoming year.
• Ferd Bartels made proposal for 2009 reunion in Northern Kentucky-Cincinnati area
• Chuck Traub presented three potential reunion sites for future consideration, including Newport News, VA, Valley Forge, PA, and a possible Caribbean Cruise.
• Jim Thomas made proposal for 2009 or 2010 reunion in Southeast Michigan – Lake Erie area.
• James Eldreth suggested consideration for a future reunion be held in Charlotte, NC at the time of the October NASCAR race weekend
• Shelley Williams made presentation for future consideration of a reunion in the San Francisco – Silicon Valley area
• Resolution passed to hold 2009 Reunion in October in Northern Kentucky
• Next reunion is 2008 16-18 Oct at the Radisson Greentree in the Pittsburgh area. Reunion committee is Jack Walters, Dizzy Dzubak, and Bernie Gdula.
• Meeting adjourned at 1500 hours.

18 first timers, 1 plankowner. Minnesota shipmate Russ Gausman and father Kenneth built large model of Wood for hospitality room display. Thursday Veterans Museum and city tour, annual golf outing and welcome buffet. Friday Branson area and College of Ozarks tour, Branson Belle luncheon cruise, and evening Bob Anderson dinner show. Saturday AM “Lost in 50’s” Platters show and luncheon. Saturday afternoon free time, shopping, and business meeting. Saturday PM photos, banquet dinner, and entertainment by Young Americans.
