The purpose of the WOOD III Project is to name another ship after Dr. William M. Wood. There has currently been 2 ships bearing Dr. Wood's name. The DD-317 and the DD-715. Both served admirably in the service of the United States Navy. We are at present writing letters to our senators and representatives to get one of the new class destroyers named after Dr. Wood. Below you will see links to the different new classes of destroyers and links to send emails to your senators and representatives. Also you have a link to the current status of the WOOD II Project. We need to Email or write to as many of these top ranking personnel as we can to keep the momentum going for our WOOD III Project.
